I really enjoyed the gig at Cox’s last night as it was so much more immediate than Bilston although they
played so well at both venues.
They were obviously having a great time – the enjoyment just came through. I thought that Robin’s solo on “Bridge of Sighs” was fantastic – so brilliant – it took me
somewhere else and it was truly inspired. There is new life in the old songs for sure!
“No Time” was great too – it’s good to hear some of the songs that aren’t necessarily always well known
– I have so many I would love to hear him play but I guess it’s down to the ones he enjoys playing and ones that are fresh for him after not playing them for so many years.
The band are so good together
at this point, at the end of the tour, that it seems a crime for them to stop! It’s been another highly successful tour and I am indebted to them for the pleasure they bring to me and doubtless to everyone
else who sees them. Thanks guys!
