‘Bridge of Sighs’ selected as one of the best albums of 1974!
Published in early 2006 by jointly by ‘Classic Rock’ and ‘Metal Hammer’ magazines, ‘1970s’ identified the top 200
albums of the decade. Nestling on the double-page devoted to 1974, the authors selected Robin Trower’s signature album among the top 20 for that year.

Incendiary guitar playing softened by psychedelic whimsy were Trower’s calling
cards after he jumped ship from Procol Harum. They never came together to thrillingly as on 1974’s ‘Bridge of Sighs’, his second and perhaps most essential solo album. From ‘Too Rolling Stoned’ to
‘Little Bit of Sympathy’, ‘Bridge of Sighs’ managed the rare feat of both inventive and commercially successful and deserves its place on the podium.
